New year, same obsession with bass - Opium Hum’s Hyper Real event series is stepping into its second year of polyrhythmic rave madness. Kicking off this year's run of auditory contortions is a double billing of post-internet royalty: Berlin’s Born in Flamez and New York’s DJ Fuck. Subverting gender and genre with a panoply of influences somewhere in the nether regions between grime, deconstructed club sounds and pop, BiF is know for their releases on Friends of Friends, Infinite Machine and Modeselektor’s Monkeytown amongst others, on top of co-curating the world-famous CTM Festival.

DJ Fuck is the eclectic, emotionally spiraling alter-ego of mixed reality, multi-media artist and Lady Gaga collaborator Sam Rolfes, who in his sets scrapes together a psychedelic and unhinged cavalcade of fast-paced dance floor terror: the perfect soundtrack to grind your teeth to at 3am in the light of a dozen overpowered stroboscopes. He will present a hybrid A/V show, that he has been cooking in his NY laboratory. They will be joined by our very own Opium Hum and New Magic Media, framing the night with their emotive DJ sets leading you in and out of this nights dance floor mania.
