ONYX — FAST FORWARD PRODUCTION — AMPHIBIAN

More than 2 years in the making - finally we can unveil that FAST FORWARD PRODUCTION is coming to ONYX.

Fresh and crisp local collective and label (AMPHIBIAN) and its artists TELETEXT & INGER ILLEL are invited to take over SALO floor, while FAST FORWARD PRODUCTION’s SCHACKE, SUGAR and KHIDI’s BOYD SCHIDT are in charge of the F2 main floor.

Fast Forward Productions was formed in December 2015 as a new take on DIY rave culture. All events are built from the ground up, focusing on our local scene and on collaborating with like-minded crews and concepts from abroad.

With a focus on social engagement, and by using activists from the local community to help make the events come to life, Fast Forward actively focuses on creating safer spaces at the venues we use. Sexism, racism, homophobia and transphobia are not tolerated.

As one of the original members of the Fast Forward collective and agency, Schacke has played a significant role in shaping and defining what has become known as the ‘’Copenhagen Techno Sound’’, which they helped pioneer with their first two techno records on the now-defunct Ectotherm label between 2015-2017 started by Mama Snake and Courtesy. Schacke is also a resident DJ and event organizer at the famous queer sex parties by feminist porn production company ‘’Bedside Productions’’.

Sugar is the primary alias of Copenhagen-based composer, producer and Fast Forward Productions co-founder Nikolaj Jakobsen. While Sugar’s sound may be best described as techno with its heart on its sleeve, his seemingly innate ability to conjure multiplicitous spaces within a single piece of music can’t be easily constrained by simple genre signifiers. Absorbing the powerful, playful and emotional intensity of the punk, hardcore and metal scenes that Jakobsen commited his earlier years to, it occupies a unique place in today’s electronic music landscape – one that Jakobsen has been instrumental in creating.

Leon Lolishvili a.k.a. Boyd Schidt is a Georgian electronic producer and DJ, better known as a half of the long-running techno duo Greenbeam & Leon. Boyd Schidt’s music is characterised by variety of musical selections from industrial techno to soft and melancholic sounds. Artist loves synthesising different kind of sounds, and his work has been released on labels such as: Studio R, WaveReform records, Subsist records and 2529 KM. In 2014, he released “Morning Utopia” as a part of Studio R°’s “Various 003″, alongside Mike Parker, Brendon Moeller, Zadig, Exercise One, followed by next 12”, “Structure EP” on Waveform. Nowadays, Georgia’s techno pioneer is still actively engaged in the process of composing music and DJing around the world.
