XYZ Live Session x Fuchs2

XYZ project's listening series is back, about to transform the main floor of Fuchs2 into a cosy environment tailored for activated listening with site specific visual installations. Guests of the evening on Thursday March 19th is the live AV trio Taran, forward-thinking producer Evil Medvěd and vinyl selector Vapanda. Wrapping up the lineup are XYZ core members Oliver Torr & St. Jakob in a joint live set.

Taran A collaborative audiovisual performance by Jiri Rous, David Smitmajer and Frantisek Tymal. Through live animation and experimental audiovisual techniques, an air combat manoeuvre known as ‘Taran’ is recreated, specifically an event that happened 8th of September 1914, between a Russian pilot Petr Nesterov, and Frantisek Malina. Nesterov aimed his aircraft at Malina’s plane, destroying both their lives and the aircrafts. The performance premiered at the International Film Festival in Rotterdam and has been performed at various locations around Europe.

Evil Medvěd https://soundcloud.com/evilmedved Modular improviser, focusing on deconstructing various genres and types of club music, creating endless textures, pulsing rhythms and melodic overtones. They are firmly establishing their presence on Prague’s electronic music landscape, lets see what they have to bring to Fuchs2.

Vapanda https://soundcloud.com/vapanda A selector, drawing mostly from her extensive vinyl collection. Genre bending selections should lead to physical bliss and spiritual harmony. She will ease us from the listening section of the evening to the foot-tapping and gentle swaying part of the night.
